Git freezing? Can't use Compile or clone manually

I noticed that trying to use Compile would freeze after the cloning. Even manually trying to use git freezes. Is this a bug?

Can you show the exact steps after which git freezes for you?

Never had this issue.

I have the same issue.

Tried to update the system after a fresh install, and after calling

git pull

in the /Programs/Scripts/Current folder, I got (after a long time)

fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/gobolinux/Scripts.git/': getaddrinfo() thread failed to start

Well that’s odd. Did you test if your internet connection on your gobo setup is working?

ofc, that was the first thing I did

Did you follow GoboLinux 017 Known Issues and Fixes · gobolinux/Documentation Wiki · GitHub ?

I fixed the issue, you need to set up a loopback device

indeed, that was the solution, thx
the init script is fracked up

if you need help Im around in the irc

EDIT: See Gobolinux.org's Certificates

a --no-check-certificate did the trick

no the InstallPackage command wants to install an older version than the one already installed
is there somebody who still uses gobolinux?

We are using the Compile tool to install packages. InstallPackage deals with pre compiled packages which currently doesnt exist^^

I do. Also the main devs all use it as a daily driver afaik. And there’s a few other users awell.

oh, pardon my ignorance, I just installed it for the first time

btw SuggestUpdates's output is a little confusing then

pull requests are welcome
